Question: How long have you been in business?
Answer: Kickoff Topic was created in July of 2007. I know these are not easy times for any small business, given today's economy, but patience, good decisions making, careful planning, and looking at the great picture is what I'm counting on.
Someone once said: "A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for." I plan to sail my ship with open sails, big heart and strong leadership.
Question: What is your primary product or service?
Answer: I started with graphic design, web design and visual identity creation for small businesses. Today, Kickoff Topic is a marketing solutions company with the focus on educating, coaching, and consulting small businesses and entrepreneurs on maximizing the benefits of social media marketing. Assisting clients with developing strategies, implementing best practices, using the latest tools, and answering how to(s). Creating workshops, teleseminars, webinars, and individual and group private training sessions, with the spotlight on understanding the importance of creating online communities with long lasting relationships in mind.
Question: How did you first become interested in your line of business?
Answer: My background is very versatile. I worked for a local Publishing company (R&E Publishers) for 10 years starting with accounting and slowly moving into project management. I learned about design, marketing and PR. After the company changed ownership hands and moved out of the area, I entered the electronics distribution industry and worked for Pioneer Standard Electronics in Product Marketing. My decision to stay at home with my kids after 6 years at Pioneer, has given me the opportunity to explore my thirst for education and my enthusiasm for sharing my knowledge.
Question: How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Answer: Social Media Marketing is very much the new way of marketing. The shortage of certified specialist is the main concern and I have taken the steps to make sure I offer only the highest level of service, support and teach best practices. Currently attending certification program to become a member of International Association of Social Media Specialists.
Question: Which areas do you service?
Answer: The nature of my services gives me the opportunity to work with clients regardless of their geographical location, online and via phone.
